Laura Calder's Cream Apple Tart Recipe

Hubby was working pretty late last night and I had the chance to watch my fave channel on Astro; the AFC!

I was lucky indeed because French Food At Home is on Air. I just love the gorgeous Laura Calder, the food she prepared, and the ambience of her kitchen ( someone wrote in her blog that the kitchen featured in that show was her producer's).

Anyways, back to last night's show. Laura prepared a scrumptious dessert and seems pretty easy to prepare. I sort of remember some of the ingredients used but then again, when I start to jot down the recipe I realized I didn't actually remember all of it.

And, much to my delight when I was reading the paper today, i saw the recipe!!! So, here it goes. For my record whenever I decide to try it.

Tat Krim Epal

Bahan-bahannya:

Kulit Tat
1/2 cawan mentega
1/3 cawan gula
1/2 sudu teh vanila
1 cawan tepung gandum

Inti krim
1 biji telur
1/2 sudu teh vanila
8 aun keju krim - dilembutkan
1/4 cawan gula

Topping
3 biji epal; dikupas kulit dan dihiris nipis
1/4 cawan gula
1/2 sudu teh serbuk kulit kayu manis
1/4 cawan kepingan badan atau walnut; dicincang

Cara Membuat:
  1. Untuk tat - panaskan ketuhar hingga 200 darjah celcius. Pukul hingga lembut mentega dan gula. Masukkan vanila. kemudian masukkan tepung dan gaul dengan hujung jari hingga adunan menjadi seeprti serbuk roti.
  2. Tekan doh ke dalam acuan setinggi 2.5cm. Bakar selama 15 minit; hingga keperangan. Keluarkan daripada ketuhar.
  3. Untuk inti krim - pukul semua bahan sehingga gebu. Tuang ke atas doh tadi. Sementara itu, tabur serbuk kulit kayu manis, gula dan walnut di atas epal.
  4. Untuk bahagian atas - Susun kepingan epal di atas krim dan taburkan dengan kepingan badam. Bakar sehingga epal lembut dan keperangan selama 40 minit.
